Thus far Jackson has only had a couple of very minor hair trimmings, and those were very minimal at best. We have talked about cutting it short for a while but just liked the blonde curls in the back so could never come around to cutting it short. So this past weekend we finally did it. We went into Sport Clips...me in one chair, with Melissa holding Jackson in the chair next to me. And just like that it was short.
Last night was also a big night for Riley...finally sleeping in her new room upstairs. It only took a month and a half, but with a little bribery that we would go and pick out a certain toy she wanted, she was ready to go. It still took some convincing when it was time to actually go to bed. She was upset and wanted "a grown up sleeping upstairs", but eventually after some convincing that we could hear her downstairs she was ready to go. Naturally that on the first night she sleeps alone upstairs we have a thunder storm...one of her mortal enemies. At some point during the night there was a pretty loud thunder clap, and I was positive that was going to send her back to our room. But she slept right through it. She did wake up a couple of times calling for us, each time ready to wake up and proud that she "slept all night in her room" despite it only being a few hours at that point. But she did make it all the way through the night. So we shall see how night #2 goes.
We went out today and picked up her promised toy, and she chose a pair of Stompeez. The Stompeez have each been named Bitty and Stompee. No idea where Bitty came from. Not satisfied with simply wearing them around, she wanted to sleep in them. And so she is. I do have a feeling one of us will be waking up tonight because one of her Stompeez came off and she wants it back on.
(She picked this out and came downstairs wearing it)
(Followed by this choice of outfit the next day)
